I know that it is difficult to read and or hear of ridiculous things about God and the Bible. If one picks up a hot pan, then they are more likely to not do that again. My point, it might make people more hot or cold toward the Bible and God if they have absurd information out there. God says He cannot work with lukewarm. If this article gets people fired up about God, then did it not move people out of the lukewarm state? I do think that it is a very slippery slope when talking bad about God. Hello, I don’t know what the topic is that you are discussing, but I hope there is some one there that can talk to me about my crisis of CHURCH, not having a crisis of Faith just a crisis of church. Awhile back Presby USA withdrew support from Israel. That made me shutter. King David had every right in my book to kill King Saul but he did not! Why didn’t he? Because David could not see passed the fact that Saul had been anointed by GOD! Saul turned secular, yet David did not kill him! What is the lesson I take from that? Well, Israel at this moment is secular, but they are still the “apple of GOD’s eye”. Therefore, it is not my job to punish her, it’s my GOD’s job to turn her back toward himself. It’s only my job to support her! My church affiliation is not supporting her. Now my church affiliation has decieded to change it’s constitution to include suborning homosexual marriage. My Pastor is also at this moment having a crisis of church! This affiliation has taught me that the world changes but GOD does not! I have listened to arguments for and against homosexual marriage. The arguments for it merely takes bible wording out of context to support their personal agenda . “Born that way ” has not and never will be proved in this life. It is not and never has been my belief that that kind of devient behavior should be treated any differently than any other sin. In otherwords I don’t want to stone them or jail them or persecute them. All I want to do is tell them, that I can not accept their argument cause God has said it is wrong. just like stealing, cheating and lying. One of the elders got up and gave to the people what he said God gave to him about the church being made into a social club. My Bishop got up and said that this is his church and that he does the correcting. And he said that the Bible says that we have to become like them the ones that were dancing and shaking their behinds in order to win them over to Christ Jesus. I’m a Deacon in my church and sometimes my Bishop blows me away don”t get me wrong he is a man of God amen. I’m just trying too get some understanding.
